About Us

The mission of the Prince William County First Responders Foundation is to provide financial support for the first responders who sacrifice to keep our communities safe in times of need.

Prince William County First Responders Foundation raises private funds to be able to lessen the financial burden of hardship and foster robust relationships between the public and private sectors in our community. The private funds raised are used to assist sheriff, fire, police, and rescue organizations in Prince William County.

Prince William County Police

Prince William County Police Department

The Prince William County Police Department aims to effectively and impartially enforce the law while serving and protecting our community. The Department is a nationally accredited law enforcement agency providing professional police service to the residents, business owners, and visitors in Prince William County. With an authorized strength of over 700 sworn officers, the Department is comprised of four divisions and 13 bureaus, including patrol and investigative services, specialty units, and support resources.

Prince William County Fire Department

Prince William County Fire & Rescue System

Prince William County’s Fire and Rescue System is comprised of the Department of Fire and Rescue and eight volunteer fire and rescue departments. These organizations collectively work together to provide high quality and efficient firefighting and emergency medical services to Prince William County. The County’s Department of Fire and Rescue currently consists of 722 members, a combination of civilian and uniformed personnel.

Prince William County Sheriff

Prince William County Sheriff Office

The Prince William County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with elected leaders, staff and citizens, provides a safe and secure Judicial Complex. Other mandates include service of all civil process, including subpoenas, levies, seizures, and evictions; internal affairs; training; and timely transport for prisoners and person in crisis. The Office serves the citizens of Prince William County, the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, and the Towns of Dumfries, Occoquan, Quantico and Haymarket.

Prince William Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center

Prince William Manassas Regional Adult Dentention Center

The Prince William – Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center serves Prince William County, including the towns of Occoquan, Quantico, Triangle, Dumfries, and Haymarket. The jail also serves the independent cities of Manassas, and Manassas Park. The Detention Center’s mission is to provide secure, safe, and healthful housing of prisoners; ensure staff safety; conduct rehabilitative programs that reduce recidivism following release; and to do so in as cost-effective a manner as possible.

The Dumfries Police Department is committed to providing professional, effective, and courteous public service by working in partnership with the community under the rule of law to create a safe environment and improve the quality of life for all of our citizens in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, cooperation, respect, and integrity. We will strive for excellence in all we do and make every effort possible to earn and maintain the confidence and trust of the community we proudly serve.
